The aim of the tutorial is to learn how to use the check box components that comes with Flash 2004. Check boxes are usually used in forms, but in actual fact you can use them anywhere in a Flash movie. There are two ways of using check boxes: passive and active. This tutorial will show you how to use active check boxes. The next tutorial will show you how to use passive check boxes.
An active text box is one that changes something as soon as it is selected or unselected. Most check boxes are passive. This means that you need to click a submit button before any action is done. Below are examples of both active and passive check boxes:
