The recovery side of First Search Digital
WebWasp and First Search Digital are trading names of Finn Digital Media Ltd. First Search Digital focuses on digital marketing; WebWasp focuses on website recovery and security. WebWasp gives hacked website recovery its own home: a place to describe a problem, understand the next step and get help with WordPress.
A compromised website can interrupt enquiries, damage search visibility and leave a business unsure what to do. Our focus here is on investigating the problem, recovering the website where possible and explaining how to reduce the risk of another incident.
What WebWasp helps with
Our services cover hacked WordPress recovery, malware removal and cleanup, and security hardening and aftercare. The right approach depends on the symptoms, the access available and the damage found.
We also publish practical recovery guides and provide a limited public website check. That check can flag basic website issues; it cannot inspect private files or establish that a website is free of malware.
Free investigation, then a clear quote
We start with a free investigation to assess the problem and the recovery work likely to be needed. We explain what can be checked with the information and access available, then provide a quote for proposed chargeable work.
You decide whether to proceed. Sending an enquiry does not authorise repairs or commit you to ongoing maintenance. See how investigation and quoting work.
Permission and care before changes
We work with the website owner or an authorised representative. Before making changes, we clarify the scope and any access needed. Where possible, a copy is preserved so there is a record of the starting point.
If the site takes orders, payments or bookings, recent data matters. Tell us before anyone restores an older backup. Access details and sensitive files should be arranged separately rather than included in an initial enquiry.
A useful handover
The recovery should leave you with an explanation of what was found, what changed and what was checked. Where the evidence is incomplete, we say so. Recommendations may cover software updates, administrator access, backups and routine monitoring.
No service can guarantee that every lost item can be recovered or that a website will never be hacked again. Our aim is an agreed recovery, practical next steps and a clear account of any remaining uncertainty.
