1. Tell us about the problem
Send your website address, the symptoms, when you first noticed them and whether you still have WordPress or hosting access. Include the wording of any warning message, but leave out passwords, private access links, customer records and backup files.
Tell us if the website takes payments or bookings, or if your host has suspended it. Those details help us understand what needs attention.
2. Start with a free investigation
The initial investigation is free. We use it to assess the reported problem and establish what recovery work appears necessary. The checks possible will depend on the access, records and information available; we will discuss these with you.
This is separate from the automated website checker. A public-page check does not inspect WordPress files, the database or administrator accounts and cannot diagnose every infection.
3. Review the proposed work and quote
Recovery prices are quoted for the website and the work involved. A brochure site, an online shop and a site with missing data can need different approaches.
The quote should explain the proposed work, any access requirements, what is included and any limits. Any paid licences, hosting charges or other third-party costs should be identified separately. We agree chargeable work with you before it begins.
4. Choose whether to proceed
You can review the quote and ask questions before accepting. Sending an enquiry does not authorise chargeable repairs. If the investigation identifies work beyond the agreed scope, we will discuss the change before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Recovery and ongoing care are separate decisions. A one-off cleanup does not automatically enrol you in a monthly plan.
Aftercare is quoted separately
After recovery, we can discuss updates, backups, access controls and routine checks. The scope and frequency should fit the website and be agreed separately, including what you and your hosting provider remain responsible for.
